Hi!  My name is Kate and I am so glad you stopped by my page!  This will let you know a little bit about me.

I am:
  • from Charleston, SC, but now live in Wilmington, NC

  • a fur mom to two sweet boys

Things I love:
  • dragonflies
  • fitness
  • FOOD!
  • Bath and Body Works candles, Victoria's Secret sport and swim (RIP) and Old Navy activewear and dresses
  • books, books, books!
  • Friends
  • music and singing 
Things I don't love so much:
  • mushrooms
  • driving
  • nasty people
  • Wal-Mart (but somehow I'm there every week anyway...?)
So, how did I get into fitness?
My mom had been active and always cooked healthy meals, so it was instilled in me at an early age.  I started my first Beachbody program, Insanity (Come on, y'all, let's goooooooooooo!), about 6 years ago and I haven't looked back.  I have done a lot of programs and I love what they can do for your body and mind!

Within the past few years, I have made a lot of changes in what I eat.  Things that I used to think were healthy I now know are not.  It's not about starvation or deprivation; it's about moderation and enjoying food in a positive way by using it to fuel my body for those tough workouts!

What am I doing with this blog?
This will be a place where I share my fitness journey.  I will post recipes, workout reviews, and anything that I think is interesting at the time (I am aware no one else may find these things the least bit interesting).  I am not an expert by any means!  Everything I have learned about fitness has come from at-home fitness programs and research on the Internet--and if it's on the Internet, it's got to be true, right?
